MIT Lincoln Labs Radar Challenge

This workshop will introduce engineering students to the fundamentals of radar and provide a unique opportunity to view everyday objects “through the eyes” of a radar.  No experience is necessary, but it helps if you’re interested in any of the following: electronics, physics, electromagnetics, or signal processing. Throughout the morning, a series of presentations will introduce students to radar concepts and applications.  In the afternoon, students will form teams of five and take the radars outdoors to perform field experiments such as measuring the speed of passing cars and plotting their range and Doppler trajectories.  Points will be awarded throughout the workshop and members of the winning team will receive a T-shirt and $50 Barnes and Noble gift card.
